Review: DO NOT WATCH THIS MOVIE! It is that simple.
Jules Verne is one of my favorite authors, perhaps best known for his novel Twenty
Thousand Leagues Under the Sea and the infamous Captain Nemo. A writer of astute
talent and imagination he was a forerunner of modern science fiction - but this
film is unworthy of claiming inspiration from him or carrying his title. The film
is exceedingly boring and marrs itself even further with an inordinate amount of
unnecessarily sensual material masked as primitives but with such disregard for
any historicity that it is of no value. Hallmark Entertainment has fallen far short
with this film. I am embarassed to even admit that I sat through it.
