Company Notes: Headed by the Lalonde brothers this film company
has released a spate of movies since 1998 - mainly apocalyptic in nature. There
shot at the big times arrived when they signed the deal to the Left Behind series,
however this was soured by legal complication when Tim LaHaye, one of the authors
of the Left Behind series took Cloud Ten Pictures to court. Cloud Ten has made a
number of films with decent crews, okay acting, and okay scripting. Sadly, most
of the films have been B quality films. Their latest release, Left Behind: World
at War showed a significant step-up in capabilities, but still suffered from a difficult
storyline and a rehash of the same old apocalyptic tales.
I am utterly frustrated with their continued
dedication to apocalyptic films, though there decision to make Dirk & the Devil
gives me some hope. I am sure many will still watch Left Behind IV - probably including
myself. But I have my doubts about the success of either Apocalypse V or the Apocalypse
TV series.
